*** NOTE: LOCATION CHANGE ***
We are very excited to get back to in person meetings and to have Jennifer Bleiweis as our speaker.
You all may know Jen as a long time member of G3, but she is also a Registered/Licensed Dietitian and Nationally Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach.
She will be speaking to the club about a topic I know everyone is very interested in: food! Specifically, she will outline the nutritional demands of competing/training in endurance sports as well as the fluid demands and GI tolerance. Additionally, she will address some other current topics in sports nutrition such as plant based/vegan diets, supplement use and other nutritional ergogenic aids.
In her private practice, Jen Bleiweis, RD, she coaches a variety of clients and also consults with UF in their Executive Health program. She combines her clinical experience and background of nutrition support, pediatric, and disordered eating with an effective health coaching model to deliver individualized nutrition and wellness plans. As a former triathlete and lifelong fitness enthusiast, she finds helping athletes achieve their nutrition goals the most interesting and satisfying. Jen completed her undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, her Dietetic Internship at the VA Health system in San Diego, and her training for Health Coaching at Duke University. She is the cofounder of the Alachua County Council of Girls on the Run and current Board Chair. In her time outside her work, Jen enjoys spending time with family and friends, running, reading, and walking her dogs.
