Gear:  shirt, sports bra, shorts, socks, shoes

Additional: Hat, sunglasses, water bottle or hydration vest, reflective safety gear (vest/headlamp if running at dawn/dusk)

Race day: race number belt if you don’t want to safety pin the number to your shirt

Optional:  watch, heart rate monitor, Road ID, cellphone carrier for training

Safety considerations: 

-Run with a buddy or group, especially at night or in secluded places

–Be aware of your surroundings/avoid headphones  

–Carry an ID & cellphone                                                                                                                                               

-Run against traffic  if running on the road                                                                                                                                                       

–Wear bright or reflective clothing

** Consider a running analysis by a reputable person for feedback and possible assistance with shoe selection.  Members or mentors can assist with recommendations.
